L’Academy ha svelato la shortlist per le nomination agli Oscar 2023 e tra i migliori film stranieri non c’è nessun italiano. Non è stato inserito tra i 15 migliori film internazionali (tra i quali verranno scelti i cinque candidati che concorreranno a vincere l’ambita statuetta a Hollywood) Nostalgia di Mario Martone con Pierfrancesco Favino, il film italiano prescelto per concorrere ai premi Oscar 2023. A portare avanti i colori della bandiera italiana rimane Le Pupille della regista Alice Rohrwacher che è riuscito ad entrare nella schortlist dei 15 film inseriti nella categoria Live Action Short Film.
Shortlist per il miglior film straniero: l’Italia è fuori
Per il miglior film straniero l’Italia era tra i 92 Paesi che hanno presentato le candidature. Ma a spuntarla sono rimasti in 15 che sperano di arrivare sul palco della notte degli Oscar per la 95a edizione degli Academy Awards.
Ecco i film che sono stati inseriti nella shortlist per la categoria miglior film straniero: Argentina,1985 (Argentina), Corsage (Austria), Close (Belgio), Return to Seoul (Cambogia), Holy Spider (Danimarca), Saint Omer (Francia), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germania), Last Film Show (India), The Quiet Girl (Irlanda), Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths (Messico), The Blue Caftan (Marocco), Joyland (Pakistan), EO (Polonia), Decision to Leave (Corea del Sud) e Cairo Conspiracy (Svezia).
Le nomitation saranno annunciate il 24 gennaio. Le statuette saranno consegnate il 12 marzo durante la cerimonia degli Oscar. Intanto vediamo quali film sono entrati nelle altre shortlist presentate dall’Academy.
